The newest in the line of Opentron liquid handlers, the Opentrons Flex Next Generation Sequencing Workstation is capable of automating Next Gen Sequencing preparatory work and sample clean up. Everything necessary to send samples out for sequencing with high reproducibility.

Armed with 2 8-channel pipettes, thermocycler module, temperature block and other modules the Flex NGS Workstation integrates several available library preparation kits and protocols, supporting applications like whole-genome sequencing, targeted sequencing, RNA sequencing and metagenomics. Key steps such as DNA/RNA extractions, bead-based cleanups and PCR setups are made reproducibly and in high throughput settings with previous iterations of this machine having been used on UCR campus for Covid testing.
